About the Everyman Folk Club

The Everyman Folk Club was re-launched in 1996.  It is a registered charity which aims to promote traditional and modern folk music in Suffolk, England. Registered Charity Number 267165.

The Everyman meets on the last Friday of each month during January to May and September to November.  All events start at 8.00 pm prompt.  With Residents, Floor Singers and a Booked Guest Artist on every occasion, there is always a warm welcome for new performers and audience members.

Venue

We meet at The Benhall & Sternfield Ex Servicemen’s Club at School Lane, Benhall, Saxmundham, Suffolk - in the Main Hall.

Disabled access and facilities are available.

The Everyman is a non-smoking club.

By car, east of Ipswich, turn left onto the A12 and continue past Woodbridge, Ufford, Wickham Market and Glemham.  In the middle of a short stretch of dual carriageway turn right onto the B1121, across the carriageway, signposted to Saxmundham and Benhall Green.  Take the first right turning, signposted to Benhall Green.  Then take the first left turning (at the school) into School Lane and you will find The Benhall & Sternfield Ex Servicemen’s Club on your left.   

Saxmundham has a railway station and train times are available from the National Rail Enquiry line, telephone 08457 484950.

The nearest Tourist Information Office is at Woodbridge, and the telephone number is 01394 382240.

Admission Charges ~ Amazing Value!

Tickets are available in advance for all events, priced at £4.00 each.  

Subject to availability, tickets may also be purchased on the door for £5.00 each.

Membership

The Everyman Folk Club operates as a Private Members Club to ensure compliance with current legislation governing public entertainment.  Membership is free, and only requires that your name and address details are recorded on our membership list.  (This list is not made available to any other parties).
