Review - Bryony Griffith & Alice Jones
24/02/23

What a treat to have Yorkshire lasses, Bryony Griffith & Alice Jones as our guests at the Everyman Folk Club last night. This phenomenal duo performed creative arrangements of songs and tunes from their home county. Their beautiful voices were expertly balanced and had us all enthralled. Intricate vocal harmonies were enriched by their remarkable abilities on fiddle, harmonium, and tenor guitar, and we had the pleasure of Alice’s body-percussion too. Thank you both for a wonderful evening.

We are grateful to all our marvellous floor performers for their part in the evening’s entertainment – Matthew Robertson, Colin & Karen Cater, Bill Johnston, Shirley Harry, Jack Saville & Sophie Grenfell, David Cotter, and Keith & Mary-Jane Tyrell. Bravi tutti.

Thanks as well to everyone in our lovely audience for welcoming our guests and new visitors, and for your admirable chorus singing. We’re looking forward to next time – an informative and entertaining evening with Nick Dow on Friday 31 March.
