Review - John Conolly
29/03/13

It certainly was a Good Friday at The Everyman Folk Club yesterday with the lovely John Conolly. We were enthralled by his finely-crafted songs, as well as his charm and affability. Songs of hardships experienced by Fishermen and their families were well balanced with humorous anecdotes inspired by his travels, and his performance was delightful and captivating.

Excellent floor spots too, thanks to: John Wright, Trevor Follows, Gill McCoy, Mike Acott, Peter Cunningham, Charlie Haylock, and Mary-Jane & Keith Tyrrell.

Thanks again to our fantastic audience, who braved another cold (but, thankfully, only slightly snowy) evening. See you next time, when Martyn Wyndham-Read and Iris Bishop make a welcome return to the Everyman on Friday 26 April.
