Review - Pete Morton
27/05/22

A captivating evening with modern minstrel, Pete Morton, at the Everyman Folk Club yesterday. In a lively and energetic performance, Pete delivered self-penned moving songs of social conscience with humour, and presented traditional songs with his artful style of talking blues/frapping (folk-rap). His warm, powerful voice was enriched by his stunning and accomplished guitar accompaniments – engaging and masterful.

Many thanks for all our floor singers for their fine contributions to the evening - John Robinson, Diedre Lamont, Marianne Kiff, Keith & Mary-Jane Tyrrell, Terence Blacker, and Steve Danby.

Thanks as well to everyone in our splendid audience for your ongoing support of the club, fabulous chorus singing, and for welcoming this evening’s guest and new visitors. Yep, we’ve reopened just in time to shut for the Summer break, but we’ll look forward to seeing you again on Friday 30 September with our guests, Doug Eunson & Sarah Matthews.
