Review - Martyn Wyndham-Read
27/11/15

How lucky we were to have Martyn Wyndham-Read as our guest at The Everyman Folk Club on Friday evening. A superb interpreter of traditional and new songs, his lovely voice and gentle guitar had the full venue spellbound throughout – and, of course, every was story was true. It was a stunning end to another great year at the Everyman.

As always, we were treated to entertaining and interesting floor spots. Thanks to Graham Schofield, Steve & Kate Dines, Terence Blacker, Mike Meyerstein, and Steve Danby. Thank you for letting us indulge with a couple from Steve and me too.

We are feeling very flattered and rather chuffed that Martyn voiced his opinion that The Everyman is one of the best folk clubs in the country. As he so rightly said, our wonderful audience makes this so and, as always, we thank each and all of you for your support during 2015.

We meet again in 2016 and look forward to seeing you on Friday 29 January when extremely talented singers and musicians, The Foxglove Trio, make their first visit to the club.
